Names of Soldiers as follows:Peter Ouzts (1832-1900) Saluda SC Regiment;Gentry Woods is actually Hugh Hezekiah Wood (called ”Ginse”) 1832-1911William Henry Brunson (1836-1911)William Simpkins Covar (1839-1915)Johnathan Augustus ”Gus” White (1845-1911)General Matthew Calbraith Butler (1836-1909) served originally as Cpt. of the Edgefield Hussars, then unit was under Wade Hampton's Legion ( one of the Confederacy's most famous cavalry corps) where he was a Brigadier General and was US Senator from South Carolina from 1877-95, then a Major Gen. in US Army in the Spanish-American War. Thaddeus [correct spelling] Storm (1844-1929) Sen. Storm Thurmond's mother was the great niece of this guy's father. On the Washington Continental Guard, it was a New York City unit from War of 1812 possibly earlier, that remained state militia. Niblo's Saloon was part of the famous Niblo's Theater which began in 1834 (early Broadway, eben P.T. Barnum was part of it.) Again all names are strongly connected to Edgefield South Carolina. Condition: Good no tears has fading.
