Early example out of Washington Co. from one of Georgia most sought after potters Abraham Massey. The jar is 1825-30 time period, classic Massey shop with the small lug-lifter handles and the classic Edgefield South Carolina jar form. The jar has a stunning glaze that encases the entire jar. This example is simply Top Shelf and a rare example that almost never comes up for auction, one that will sit well on any shelf or museum exhibit. Simply find another one.
