A pair of shakudo and gold dragon fuchi and kashira sword fittings, Edo period (1603-1868) - The set is crafted from shakudo, a patinated gold-copper alloy. Both pieces are decorated in high-relief takabori carving with gold iroye mixed-metal inlay depicting dragons amidst stylized swirling clouds. The dragons are rendered with detailed scales and features in yellow metal. In-house Shipping is available. Pickup is Friday, Nov. 13, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
