USMC M41 Pack Lower, Khaki Web Equipment Large Pack Dated 1945 - A US Marine Corps issued web equipment large pack, also referred to as a haversack. The pack lower is constructed from heavy-duty cotton duck webbing in a khaki shade. The front flap is secured by two vertical webbing straps featuring metal-tipped ends that engage with metal D-buckles. The reverse side features a wide horizontal webbing loop designed for integration with the P37 load-carrying harness system. The interior consists of a single large open compartment with a boxed shape. Two rectangular paper labels are stapled to the interior of the top flap. The label on the left contains the characters T 15 over the year 1945, with smaller characters 0146 25 printed to the right. The label on the right also displays T 15 over 1945, with the characters 40146 25 printed above the date. These labels appear to be original production or inspection tags from the final year of World War II. No manufacturer names are readable on the webbing or labels. The main body of the pack measures approximately 13 inches in width. The height when folded is approximately 9 to 10 inches. The total length of the unfolded flap and body exceeds 17 inches. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot, or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
