Bidspirit auction | Japanese WWII Era Training Rifle
Japanese WWII Era Training Rifle Prop with Import Marks - A Japanese training prop rifle (Kyoren-ju) constructed from a dark-stained wood stock with a full-length handguard and metal fittings. This non-functional dummy rifle is modeled after the Arisaka series bolt-action service rifles and was manufactured for drill and parade use. The assembly features a simplified metal muzzle with a front sight post and a lug designed for the attachment of a training bayonet. The receiver is a hollow, non-functioning metal tube with a cutout for a bolt, though the bolt itself is absent. The trigger assembly is a simplified, non-functional metal component. Faint impressions are impressed into the wood grain on the underside of the stock forend. These marks consist of the words TRAINER (JAPAN) in Roman characters. The metal components have a black painted finish. Length: 39.5 inches. Pickup is Monday, Nov. 9, from 11 am to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH.
