Bidspirit auction | A Collection of 130 Rounds

A Collection of 130 Rounds of Military Surplus Ammunition .308 Winchester - This lot consists of a collection of 130 loose rifle cartridges identified as .308 Winchester, featuring brass casings and full metal jacket projectiles with copper-colored jackets. The ammunition is of military surplus origin, specifically featuring Soviet-era Cyrillic headstamps indicating production at the Lugansk Cartridge Plant in Ukraine. Key markings found on the base of the cartridges include the Cyrillic letter л for Lugansk, paired with numeric date codes 74 and 76 representing 1974 and 1976 respectively, and the character K. The cartridges utilize Berdan primers, several of which exhibit a red lacquer sealant ring around the primer pocket and at the case mouth to ensure moisture resistance. Many rounds show varying degrees of surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with long-term storage in a military environment.
