** Fabrica de Armas La Coruna FR8 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle 7.62x51mm NATO with 20 Inch Barrel 1951 - This Spanish FR8 Mauser is a bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, serving as a transitional training and reserve arm during the Spanish military's adoption of the CETME automatic rifle. The rifle features a 20-inch barrel equipped with a birdcage-style flash hider and a dummy cleaning rod tube that doubles as a bayonet lug, designed to replicate the sight radius and profile of the CETME Model 58. The receiver is constructed with a large-ring Mauser action and features a rotating rear aperture sight and a protected front post sight. The full-length wood stock includes a straight-pull bolt handle, a rear sling bar, and a forward sling swivel. Key markings include the Fabrica de Armas La Coruna arsenal crest on the receiver ring along with the year 1951. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number FR8-17906, which matches the serial number stamped on the receiver bridge. The barrel is marked Cal 7.62 on the receiver ring. Additional inspection marks, including the letter U and a circular proof, are present on the trigger guard. The wood forend bears a period carving on the left side featuring the word VIVA. In-house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old and in qualifying configuration, or is specifically recognized by ATF as a Curio & Relic.
