** Savage Arms Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I Bolt-Action Rifle with Bayonet and Sling - A United States-manufactured Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I bolt-action military rifle produced for British and Commonwealth forces under the Lend-Lease program. The rifle features a 25-inch barrel, a ten-round detachable box magazine, and a flip-up ladder-style rear sight. The receiver is finished in a darkened patina, while the wooden stock is constructed from walnut or a similar hardwood. This example is accompanied by a No. 4 spike bayonet and a British pattern tan canvas sling. The rifle bears several marks documenting its production and service history. The left side of the receiver is stamped U.S. PROPERTY. Further back on the same side, a stylized square-shaped letter S is followed by NO. 4 MK I over the date 1942. The top front of the receiver ring is stamped with a crown symbol over the letters BNP. The wrist socket band is stamped with the serial number 1405628 above the words MADE IN U.S.A., with the phrase MADE IN U.S.A. repeated once more below. Stamped into the right side of the buttstock wood are the letters FR. The canvas bayonet frog is marked JT&L over the date 1940. Overall length: 44.5 inches. In-house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old and in qualifying configuration, or is specifically recognized by ATF as a Curio & Relic.
