** Fabrica de Armas La Coruna FR8 Bolt Action Rifle 7.62x51mm NATO with 19 Inch Barrel 1950 - This Spanish FR8 bolt-action rifle was originally manufactured as a Model 1943 Mauser and subsequently converted to the FR8 configuration for use by the Spanish Army and Guardia Civil during the transition to the CETME automatic rifle. Chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, the rifle features a 19-inch barrel equipped with a flash hider and a distinctive secondary tube beneath the barrel intended for bayonet mounting and storage of a cleaning kit. The receiver is constructed with a large ring Mauser 98 action and features a turned-down bolt handle. The metal surfaces exhibit a blued finish, while the furniture consists of a one-piece wood stock with a semi-pistol grip and a straight comb. The sighting system includes a hooded front post and a multi-position rotary rear diopter sight. The rifle is fitted with a green webbing sling and a metal buttplate. Extensive markings include the Franco-era Spanish national eagle crest on the receiver ring above Fabrica de Armas La Coruna 1950. The left side of the receiver ring is marked Cal. 7,62. The serial number FR8-35928 is stamped on the right side of the receiver, and the number 1929 is visible on the bolt safety lever. The rifle bears an import mark from CAI on the barrel.
