** British No. 5 Mk I Lee-Enfield Jungle Carbine dated 1945 BSA Shirley - A British No. 5 Mk I bolt-action carbine, known as the Jungle Carbine, chambered for .303 British. This firearm features a wooden two-piece stock with a shortened forend and a characteristic metal-capped buttstock fitted with a rubber recoil pad. The 20-inch barrel includes an integral conical flash hider and bayonet lug. The weapon is equipped with a protected blade front sight and a flip-up rear ladder aperture sight graduated to 800 yards. A green canvas web sling with brass hardware is attached. The left side of the receiver socket is stamped M/47C over 1945 above the serial number BB7012. M/47C is the manufacturer code for BSA Shirley. The left side of the receiver is electro-penciled No 5 MK I ROF(F) FTR, identifying a Factory Thorough Repair completed at the Royal Ordnance Factory Fazakerley. The barrel near the receiver is stamped with the export mark ENGLAND. The upper surface of the barrel near the muzzle bears impressed British commercial proof marks: BNP under a crown, .303 2.222, and 18.5 TONS. The underside of the detachable box magazine is stamped with the matching serial number BB7012. Small, partially legible inspection stamps and a broad arrow symbol are impressed into the wood near the trigger guard. In-house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old and in qualifying configuration, or is specifically recognized by ATF as a Curio & Relic. If you have a C&R Federal Firearms License (or another type of FFL authorized to receive this firearm), we can ship it to you or hand it to you at pickup where lawful. Otherwise, we will have to ship to your receiving Federal Firearms License holder, or you will need to undergo a background check here when you pick up.
