P. Stevens M1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali Bolt Action Rifle 11mm Beaumont with 33 Inch Barrel - This Dutch M1871/88 Beaumont-Vitali is a bolt-action magazine rifle featuring a 33-inch barrel chambered in 11mm Beaumont. Originally produced as a single-shot M1871, this example underwent the 1888 Vitali conversion, which added a four-round internal box magazine and a long-range quadrant rear sight. The rifle is constructed with a walnut stock and bright steel metal components that have aged to a natural patina. The receiver is clearly marked P. STEVENS over MAASTRICHT on the left side. The barrel is stamped with the serial number 3734 and the date 1875, while the stock features a prominent circular cartouche on the right side of the butt with a crowned W surrounded by MAASTRICHT 1875 and 1888. Various components including the bolt handle and receiver bridge bear the assembly number 666. The rifle includes an original-pattern socket bayonet which is stamped with the matching number R 666 and multiple Dutch military inspection proofs. The furniture consists of a full-length walnut stock with two barrel bands and a steel buttplate. This item is a pre-1899 antique firearm (manufactured in or before 1898) or a qualifying black-powder firearm, and does not require an FFL or background check under federal law.
