** Mauser P38 Semi-Automatic Pistol 9mm with 5 Inch Barrel 1945 - With box. This Mauser P38 semi-automatic pistol is chambered in 9mm Luger and configured with a 5-inch barrel. The pistol features a blued slide and a frame with a greyish-green phosphate finish, characteristic of late-war and immediate post-war production. The left side of the slide is clearly marked P.38 followed by the maker code and date svw 45. The frame and slide are stamped with the serial number 5517 i, and the barrel lug is matching with serial number 5517. The right side of the slide displays a small five-pointed star, identifying this as a specimen accepted under French oversight at the Mauser Oberndorf plant following the Allied occupation in 1945. The pistol is fitted with reddish-brown ribbed metal grips and features a lanyard loop on the lower left side of the frame. The magazine floorplate bears the serial number 7393, indicating it is not matching to the pistol. The sights consist of a fixed front blade and a rear notch. In-house shipping is available. This firearm is at least 50 years old and in qualifying configuration, or is specifically recognized by ATF as a Curio & Relic. If you have a C&R Federal Firearms License (or another type of FFL authorized to receive this firearm), we can ship it to you or hand it to you at pickup where lawful. Otherwise, we will have to ship to your receiving Federal Firearms License holder, or you will need to undergo a background check here when you pick up.
