An Assortment of 21 lbs of Vintage Postcards - This large group contains 21 lbs of vintage postcards, greeting cards, and paper ephemera, primarily dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection encompasses a wide variety of themes, with a high concentration of holiday-themed cards for Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, and New Year's. Other subjects include scenic landscapes, floral arrangements, religious motifs, and children. The cards feature various printing techniques, including embossing and die-cut shapes. The lot includes a blue educational booklet with the printed title THE ELSON PUPIL'S HAND CHART featuring an illustration of a child. One die-cut card has a printed mark identifying it as a Hallmark card with the code 35XTM 257-5 and instructions to REMOVE BACKING FROM SPONGES AND APPLY. Many items are postally used, featuring handwritten correspondence, period addresses, and United States Postal Service stamps, including green one-cent Washington stamps. One card is marked as printed in W-Germany, while others bear the mark MADE IN U.S.A. A clear postmark from MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. dated DEC 21 1927 is visible on one piece. The collection is stored in a large plastic bin, with some items placed in protective clear sleeves and others attached to black album pages. Pickup is Wednesday, Sept. 16, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Blacklick, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $10 fee to bring this lot back to our warehouse in Lancaster, OH for shipping or alternative pickup. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
