Large Ornate Mediterranean Revival Mirrored Armoire - We will have this lot moved to the garage on ground level but you must load from there, bring help. This large armoire is constructed from painted wood and composite materials in an ornate Mediterranean Revival style. The piece features a two part construction consisting of a tall upper cabinet and a separate base drawer unit. The exterior is finished in a distressed cream or off-white paint with silver-toned metallic accents highlighting the carved details. The armoire is topped by a large, elaborate pierced cresting decorated with scrolling rocaille and acanthus leaf motifs. Below the crest, a deep crown molding sits above a continuous foliate carved frieze. The two primary doors are inset with full-length beveled mirrors and are flanked by fluted pilasters with carved capitals and bases. The base section contains a single wide drawer decorated with a matching carved foliate frieze and rests on four carved bun feet. The interior of the upper cabinet is fitted with a single wooden hanging rod, two adjustable shelves, and two shallow interior drawers with scoop-cut fronts. The doors are fitted with long, decorative silver-toned metal pulls, and the base drawer features two matching bail handles. No maker marks, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior or accessible interior surfaces of the piece. 43 inches wide x 24 inches deep x 88 inches high.
