Vintage Kay 5-String Resonator Banjo with Hardshell Case - A vintage 5-string resonator banjo manufactured by Kay. The instrument features a wooden resonator with a tobacco sunburst finish and white binding on the back edge. The pot assembly includes a white synthetic head secured by 18 nickel-plated tension brackets. The wooden neck has a fingerboard with simple dot inlays and a fifth-string tuner located at the fifth fret. The headstock features a black overlay with a white screen-printed graphic containing a stylized K logo inside a circle and the vertical text KAY. The reverse of the headstock shows four open-gear tuning machines with white plastic buttons. The instrument is fitted with a wooden bridge and a metal tailpiece. Included with the banjo is a vintage brown contoured hardshell case with a dark plush lining and a Mel Bay 5-String Banjo Chord Chart booklet. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item. We will charge a $10 fee to bring this lot back to our warehouse in Lancaster, OH for shipping or alternative pickup. Once packed up we will send you an invoice for shipping & handling.
