A Collection of American Furniture Including a Mahogany Commode and Contemporary Desk - We will have this lot moved to the ground level garage for you, but you must move and load it into your vehicle. This collection comprises four pieces of furniture. The mid-19th-century American commode box is constructed with flame mahogany veneers over a secondary wood frame. It features a curved serpentine front and side panels, resting on four turned feet. The hinged lid opens to reveal a circular wooden cutout housing a white ceramic wash basin insert. The contemporary writing desk is finished in a gray wash with a large rectangular inset top of slate or a faux-stone material. It contains a single long central drawer flanked by two smaller drawers, all fitted with modern metal hardware. A Colonial Revival-style chest of drawers is included, crafted from maple or a similar light hardwood with a honey-toned finish and turned wooden knobs. The final piece is a dark-stained wood bench featuring spool-turned legs joined by H-shaped stretchers. No maker marks or labels are present on any of the pieces. Desk width: Approximately 54 to 60 inches. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Tuesday, Aug. 25 from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH. No exceptions!
