15-Piece Set of Lenox Special Pattern Children's Porcelain Tableware - A fifteen-piece partial set of children's porcelain tableware manufactured by Lenox in the United States. This grouping, from the Special pattern, is constructed from cream-colored porcelain finished with a thin navy blue band at the rims. The set features various multi-colored transfer-printed illustrations of traditional toys and children at play, including a steam locomotive, a rocking horse, a child playing a trumpet while seated on a drum, a toy soldier, and a girl with a dollhouse. The collection consists of eight cups, four bowls, and three plates. The underside of each piece is marked with the Lenox backstamp. The bowl bases feature a laurel wreath enclosing a script letter L, marked LENOX, MADE IN U.S.A., and SPECIAL. The plate bases feature the laurel wreath and script L mark, labeled copyright LENOX, MADE IN U.S.A., and SPECIAL. Bowls: 5.5 inches diameter Plates: 7.5 inches diameter. Pickup is Tuesday, August 25, from Noon to 7 pm at the home in Marion, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
