Antique Neoclassical Pot Metal Putto Garden Sculpture on Cast Iron Base - An antique Neoclassical style figural garden sculpture featuring a pot metal figure mounted on a cast iron pedestal. The sculpture depicts a young boy or putto in classical drapery, clutching the folds of his garment which appears to contain harvested items. The figure is rendered in a naturalistic style consistent with late 19th to early 20th-century garden ornaments. The figure stands on an integral rectangular base that is secured to a separate cast iron pedestal. The pedestal is square in form with flared upper and lower moldings. The entire assembly shows evidence of cast construction, with the figure exhibiting a naturally weathered gray patina and the base showing a distressed off-white painted finish over rusted iron.
