The headstock displays the Sherline brand name in red lettering and a serial number plate at the rear identifies the unit as SP-32243. The machine is powered by a 90 volt DC motor, Sherline part number 4345, model number 970-506. It is equipped with a three-jaw chuck, a tool post with a mounted cutting bit, a steady rest, and a tailstock with a handwheel. A black plastic control box is mounted above the motor, featuring an on/off toggle switch, a variable speed control dial, and safety warning labels.
