A Set of Charles Ahrenfeldt Limoges Porcelain Teacups and Saucers for Wright Tyndale and Van Roden - This set of fine white porcelain teacups and saucers was manufactured by the Charles Ahrenfeldt factory in Limoges, France, for the luxury Philadelphia retailer Wright, Tyndale and Van Roden. The set includes three teacups and six saucers. The pieces are decorated with a refined border featuring a blue lattice or fishscale pattern edged in gold. This border is underscored by a scalloped gold line accented with stylized gold trefoil motifs. Each teacup interior is decorated with a hand-painted floral spray at the center of the well, composed of pink, yellow, blue, and purple blossoms with green foliage. The rims and handles are heavily gilded, and each cup features a single thin gold band around the exterior body. The underside of each piece bears green marks for C. Ahrenfeldt Limoges and the retailer Wright Tyndale and Van Roden Philadelphia. These marks are accompanied by a patent date of Pat. 3/19/18 and a separate mark reading FRANCE DEPOSE. Teacup height: 2 inches Saucer diameter: 5.5 inches. Pickup is Friday, July 31, from Noon to 7 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH. Alternate pickup day is available by appointment for a $5 fee per lot or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
