A Collection of Blatz Beer and Blatz Light Illuminated Bar Signs, circa 1978-1981 - This lot consists of illuminated advertising signs produced for the Blatz Beer brand during the period it was owned by the G. Heileman Brewing Co. One triangular sign features raised yellow lettering reading BLATZ over BEER against a textured black background with a red border designed to mimic neon tubing. This sign bears a printed copyright for G. Heileman Brewing Co., Inc. dated 1978 on the bottom margin. An oval sign depicts a barmaid in a faux-stained glass style carrying various beer steins beside a barrel labeled Blatz Milwaukee 51 Ruby. The graphic is housed within an ornate cream-colored plastic frame with gold-tone highlights. A shield-shaped sign for Blatz Light features wheat and hops motifs alongside the slogan Why Pay More For Less? and bears a 1981 copyright for the G. Heileman Brewing Co. A larger diamond-shaped sign also advertises Blatz Light with the slogan Why Pay More For Less? and includes a printed signature for artist S. Dickerson and a copyright mark dated 1980. The signs are constructed with vacuum-formed plastic faces and various metal and plastic backings. Height: 22 inches (tallest). Burns in-house shipping is available.
