An Assortment of Weller Pottery Bonito Pattern Vases and Tableware - This collection of glazed earthenware from Weller Pottery features the Bonito pattern, characterized by hand-painted floral motifs on a cream-colored ground with a contrasting light green wash glaze to the interiors. The floral decorations include various blossoms such as tulips, pansies, daisies, and forget-me-nots. various pieces are further accented with concentric blue and orange-brown stripes at the rims and base feet. The assortment includes a variety of ceramic forms: a tall vase with ornate double scroll handles, an ovoid tulip vase, a wide cylindrical pansy planter, a flared trumpet-style daisy vase, a small double-handled pitcher, and various smaller footed vases and cups. Each piece bears an incised script mark on the base reading Weller Pottery. various pieces also feature hand-painted factory or artist marks on the underside in colored ink, including characters such as 5, 2, N.C., and X.
