A Trio of E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter Vintage Hatchets - This lot consists of vintage hatchets manufactured by the E.C. Simmons Hardware Co. under the Keen Kutter brand name. The collection includes a camp/sporting hatchet with a curved hardwood handle, a lathing or half hatchet featuring a hammer pole and a notched blade, and a house/camp hatchet with a straight wooden handle painted red. All heads are constructed of forged steel and bear stamped maker's marks consisting of a wedge-shaped logo with the words KEEN KUTTER and E. C. SIMMONS in an arched format above. The lathing hatchet handle retains a partial blue and gold paper label with the brand logo. Head length (poll to edge): 5.5 inches Bit width: 3.25 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
