An Assortment of Antique and Vintage Professional and Military Tools including L. and I. J. White Bench Knife - This collection consists of several specialized antique and vintage tools for industrial, military, and agricultural purposes. The first item is a large antique bench or block knife manufactured by L. and I. J. White of Buffalo, New York. The heavy-gauge steel blade features a circular/arched stamp at the center with the date 1837 above the maker's name and location. The base of the blade is stamped with the number 16. It is constructed with a wooden handle secured by brass rivets. The second item is a WWII-era British military issue machete with a blade stamped MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND. It is accompanied by its original green canvas sheath which is stenciled with the markings D.L. and CO. 1945 A, a British Broad Arrow (pheon) military mark, and A.F.0101. The third item is an antique serrated hay knife that has been repurposed as a wall-mounted coat rack, featuring a group of black cast-metal hooks attached to the blade face and hanging rings on the reverse. The fourth tool is a large two-handed draw-style chopper or fleshing knife featuring a forged steel blade stamped J. STEEL WARRANTED at the center, fitted with wooden handles and copper ferrules. The final item is an antique pike pole or logging hook with a forged iron head consisting of a straight point and a curved hook mounted on a long wooden shaft.
