Archive of 1948 Heidelberg Raceway Midget Car Racing Type I Original Negatives and Prints by Smiths Racing Photos - This archive consists of Type I original black and white 4x5 inch negatives and corresponding photographic prints produced by Smiths Racing Photos. The collection provides comprehensive primary source documentation of midget car racing at the Heidelberg Raceway in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania, primarily dating from June through August 1948. Specific dates recorded include April 18, June 27, July 18, and August 8, 1948. The subject matter includes high-action track photography, cars in formation, pit scenes, and driver portraits.
