Vintage Johnstown Embossed Metal Bicycle License Plates, 1952 and 1958 - This lot features municipal bicycle registration tags from Johnstown. The plates are constructed of embossed painted steel. The 1952 registration tag features a maroon background with cream-colored embossed lettering and borders, bearing registration number 2978. The 1958 tag features a yellow background with black embossed lettering and borders, bearing registration number 2238. Both plates possess a distinctive shield-like shape with a rounded top tab containing a single circular mounting hole and two horizontal mounting slots on the left and right sides. Inscriptions on the 1952 plate read JOHNSTOWN, 2978, and 19 BICYCLE a group of. Inscriptions on the 1958 plate read JOHNSTOWN, 2238, and 19 BICYCLE 58. Width: 3.375 inches Height: 3 inches.
