AMF Fire Chief Car No. 503 Pedal Car - This vintage child's pedal car is an AMF Fire Chief model, manufactured by American Machine and Foundry in Olney, Illinois, U.S.A. The body is constructed of pressed steel finished in red with white stenciled graphics. The side panels feature the text FIRE CHIEF alongside a shield logo containing CAR NO. 503 and the AMF manufacturer mark. The vehicle is equipped with a three-spoke black plastic steering wheel and a group of metal wheels with solid rubber tires and decorative hubcaps. It operates via a traditional metal pedal and rod drive system. Small apertures on the front hood indicate where a siren or bell accessory was originally mounted. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
