Miroku Percussion Rifle .45 Caliber with 33.5 Inch Barrel - This Japanese-manufactured muzzleloading percussion rifle is designed in the traditional American long rifle style and chambered in .45 caliber. It features a 33.5-inch octagonal barrel with a dark finish and fixed sights. The percussion lock plate is adorned with decorative scroll engraving. The firearm is fitted with a two-piece wood stock secured by a brass barrel band and features brass furniture including a crescent-shaped buttplate, a decorative patch box on the right side of the buttstock, a trigger guard, and a nose cap. A wooden ramrod is stored in brass pipes along the underside of the forestock. Prominent markings on the upper left barrel flat include .45 CAL. and BLACK POWDER ONLY. The accompanying tag identifies the manufacturer as Miroku, Japan, and lists the serial number as 18216. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check.
