A Collection of 19th Century American Handwoven Wool Coverlets and a Patchwork Quilt - This collection of 19th-century American textiles consists of several hand-loomed coverlets and a hand-stitched patchwork quilt. The group includes an indigo and orange geometric overshot coverlet, a floral jacquard-style coverlet in cream, rose, and navy with a floral border, and a cream and tan overshot weave coverlet featuring a fringed edge. The patchwork quilt is constructed in a postage stamp pattern using small multi-colored fabric squares in blue, white, and red tones with a solid red border. The materials include wool and cotton. The construction methods are consistent with 19th-century hand-weaving and hand-stitching techniques. Shipping or bring back not available. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Thursday, March 19 from Noon to 3 pm at the home in Athens, OH. No exceptions! You don't have to take it all, just what you want. No sales tax collected on this auction. If you don’t bring help, or show up, or come too late to get all your winnings we will not refund you, instead I will read you this line reminding you that we asked you to come on time and bring help.
