A Collection of 19th Century American Handwoven Wool Coverlets and a Patchwork Quilt - This collection of 19th-century American textiles consists of several hand-loomed coverlets and a hand-stitched patchwork quilt. The group includes an indigo and orange geometric overshot coverlet, a floral jacquard-style coverlet in cream, rose, and navy with a floral border, and a cream and tan overshot weave coverlet featuring a fringed edge. The patchwork quilt is constructed in a postage stamp pattern using small multi-colored fabric squares in blue, white, and red tones with a solid red border. The materials include wool and cotton. The construction methods are consistent with 19th-century hand-weaving and hand-stitching techniques. Shipping or bring back not available. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Thursday, March 19 from Noon to 3 pm at the home in Athens, OH. No exceptions! You don't have to take it all, just what you want. No sales tax collected on this auction.
