Canadian Club Whisky Illuminated Advertising Sign The Best In The House 1982 - This is a vintage backlit advertising sign for Canadian Club Whisky, produced for the United States market and imported by Hiram Walker Importers Inc. of Detroit, Michigan. The unit is constructed with a black metal housing and a translucent plastic front panel. The graphics feature an African American man in a blue suit holding a glass of whisky against a black background. The display includes the slogan ”...forget about the rest.” in serif font, the ”Canadian Club” brand name in stylized script, and ”The Best In The House” in a sans-serif block font. Fine print along the bottom edge of the front panel reads: ”6 YEARS OLD. IMPORTED IN BOTTLE FROM CANADA BY HIRAM WALKER IMPORTERS INC., DETROIT, MICH. 86.8 PROOF BLENDED CANADIAN WHISKY © 1982”. The reverse features a paper instruction label titled ”HIRAM WALKER WINDOW SIGN” with directions for relamping and maintenance. The metal case includes two keyhole mounting points for wall hanging and a pull-string power switch. The sign is equipped with a standard two-prong power cord. 18 inches x 6 inches x 4 inches.
