A Collection of Four Framed Black Americana Prints and Postcards including Buzza Motto and E.C. Kropp - This collection of four framed ephemera items features early 20th-century Black Americana illustrations and mottos. The first item is a color postcard published by the E.C. Kropp Company of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, depicting a child with blue hair bows and a pink fan with the caption Honey, I'se Waitin' Fo' You Here. It bears the publisher mark and the designation C75. The second item is a monochrome miniature print titled The Shades of Night, showing two men in formal attire with top hats and monocles. The third item is a sepia-toned illustrated print with a 1924 copyright mark, featuring two vignettes of a child's face with the phonetic dialect text Laff an eve'body Laff wid yo' Cry an yo' criez all by yo'sef. The fourth item is a color illustrated motto print published by Buzza Motto and dated 1925, signed in the plate by artist G.B. Salisbury. This print depicts a child sitting on a watermelon with an eight-line poem in phonetic dialect. Three items are housed in modern black plastic frames with easel backs, while the Buzza Motto is held in a vintage-style decorative metal and wood frame with a paper-sealed back.
