A Collection of Mid-20th Century Childrens Books Records and Educational Puzzles Featuring African American Themes - This collection consists of various mid-20th-century children's books, phonograph records, and educational puzzles featuring African American characters and themes. The book selection includes a Young Folks Edition of Uncle Toms Cabin published by M.A. Donohue and Co. of Chicago, featuring illustrated paper-covered boards and a blue cloth spine. Also included are four volumes by Blanche Seale Hunt: two copies of Little Brown Koko Has Fun, with one designated as Second Series, featuring red illustrated boards and red cloth spines; and two copies of Little Brown Koko featuring blue illustrated boards and red cloth spines. Two staple-bound copies of Topsy Turvys Pigtails with yellow paper covers and cloth or tape spines are also present. The audio media includes a 12-inch 33 1/3 RPM LP titled All the Songs from Walt Disneys Uncle Remus (Disneyland Records DQ 1205) with a 1963 rear sleeve copyright, and a 1971 Walt Disney Presents The Story of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby 7-inch 33 1/3 RPM read-along record with an accompanying 24-page booklet (Disneyland Records 363). The educational materials comprise two Judy See-Quees wooden sequential puzzles: Planting Tulips (1975, Serial 165006) featuring a red border, and Johnny Growing (1956, Serial 510658) featuring a yellow border. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
