A Pair of World Doll Gone with the Wind 50th Anniversary Mammy and Prissy Portrait Dolls - This lot consists of two limited edition portrait dolls produced by World Doll to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the film Gone with the Wind. The dolls represent the characters Mammy and Prissy. Each doll is constructed with a molded vinyl head and hands on a cloth body. The Mammy doll is dressed in a gray long-sleeved house servant dress with a white apron and a white fabric headwrap. The Prissy doll is dressed in an orange and brown floral-patterned dress with a cream floral-patterned apron, a cream headwrap, and an accompanying straw hat with lace trim. Both dolls feature stationary painted eyes and molded, painted black hair. The packaging is marked World Doll and A Limited Edition Portrait Collectible, featuring the Gone with the Wind 50th Anniversary 1939-1989 logo. One doll retains its original World Doll wrist hangtag. While both boxes are labeled as containing Mammy dolls, the figures correspond to the Mammy and Prissy characters as produced in this series.
