A Collection of 19th Century Ivorine and Celluloid Fine Line Design Buttons - This collection of 19th century buttons is primarily composed of ivorine and celluloid, early synthetic materials designed to simulate ivory. The items feature Fine Line etched and engraved decorations including floral, foliate, and geometric motifs. Several pieces are accented with metal filigree, decorative metal surrounds, or small inset stones. The assortment includes a specific celluloid button crafted to resemble tortoiseshell and a series of diminutive buttons identified as Pigeon Eye style. The items are presented on a light gray mounting board with handwritten and printed labels identifying the group as Ivorine Division I and Fine Line Design. Display board: 9 x 7 inches Pick up is Friday, March 13 from 10 am to 4 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
