Vintage Utility Items including Dietz Lantern and Brown's Mule Mold - A group of vintage utility and advertising items. The lot includes a Dietz Victor railroad or signal lantern constructed of oxidized steel with a wire bail handle and a dark ruby red glass globe. The base is marked VICTOR and the top is marked DIETZ. Also included is a square, pressed metal advertising plate, identified by web research as related to Brown's Mule Chewing Tobacco. The plate features an embossed grid of mule images interspersed with the repeating text BROWN'S MULE. The collection further comprises antique spring scales: a large, circular Chatillon Milk Scale featuring brass dial marked CHATILLON, MILK SCALE, and CAPACITY 1/10 lbs., housed in a blackened steel casing; and a smaller, pocket-sized brass balance scale featuring a star motif and a visible manufacturer name, likely SARG.
