A group of US Nickels Including Buffalo, Liberty Head, and Jefferson Types - The collection consists of US five-cent coins (Nickels) composed of cupronickel alloy, spanning dates from the early 1900s through 1938. The lot includes coins individually housed in standard cardboard 2x2 flips, a coin sealed in a clear plastic slab, a coin sealed in a small plastic bag, and loose coins. The collection is primarily comprised of Buffalo Nickels (Indian Head Nickels), with earlier Liberty Head Nickels ( ”V” Nickels) present among the loose coins. The housed coins include dates and mint marks, such as 1931 S, 1938-D, 1912-D, 1936, 1929, and a 1929 coin explicitly marked ”Clipped Edge.” The single slabbed coin is a 1938 P Jefferson Nickel marked ”Unc $1.75.” The housed coins display handwritten notations indicating date, mint mark, and grade (e.g., VF, F, BU). Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, Jan. 30 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
