Mid-Century Murano Twin Handled Vase with Red Filigrana and Gold Aventurine - A single Mid-Century Murano twin-handled vase or ewer, likely dating to the 1950s. The blown glass body is formed in an amphora shape with an opaque turquoise blue ground. The vase is internally decorated with vertical and swirling threads of dark red filigrana and fine lines of gold aventurine, a technique characteristic of the Murano school, often associated with designs by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. The rim is scalloped and ruffled, finished in the same opaque blue glass. clear glass applied C-scroll handles flank the body. No visible manufacturer markings or signatures are present. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Friday, Jan. 30 from Noon to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
