A Collection of Vintage Brass Drapery Hardware in a Globe-Wernicke Box - A collection of vintage brass drapery hardware, primarily consisting of a diverse assortment of brass and bronze pieces, alongside some silver-toned metal items, including curved handles, decorative square escutcheons, various screws, and assorted fittings. The accompanying rectangular wooden box with a hinged lid is crafted from what appears to be oak or a similar hardwood, featuring visible grain and dovetail joinery. Its interior is lined with dark felt. A faded green label inside the lid is marked ”F.S. 741 C” and ”Globe-Wernicke.” Length: 10.5 inches Width: 6.5 inches Height: 5.5 inches The wooden box exhibits significant wear, including numerous scratches, scuffs, wood loss on the bottom, a prominent crack on the lid, and tarnished brass hinges. The metal components display heavy tarnishing, oxidation, dirt accumulation, and some corrosion, indicating considerable age and prior use. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 2pm to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
