A Collection of Vintage Metallic Buttons with Classical, Mythological, and Heraldic Motifs, Displayed, with an Additional Board of Textile Buttons - This lot comprises a group of vintage metallic buttons, varying in size and design. Crafted from brass, bronze, or similar alloys, many exhibit a two-tone effect with patinated or darkened backgrounds highlighting intricate raised relief designs. Motifs include classical and mythological figures such as busts (clearly marked 'ROMA XX'), figures resembling Neptune with a trident, and other deities. Medieval and heraldic themes are also present, featuring knights in armor, figures holding shields, and fantastic creatures like griffins and dragons. Several buttons incorporate small, clear paste jewels or faceted elements, and many are adorned with ornate decorative borders. The metallic buttons are neatly arranged and displayed on a light-colored board with blue outline markings. The board bears a handwritten cursive inscription, possibly 'Natécel,' at the bottom right. Board with metallic buttons: approximately 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) high x 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) wide. Metallic button diameters: approximately 0.5 inches (1.3 cm) to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm).
