A Collection of Late 19th Century European Architectural Motif Metal Buttons - A collection of numerous antique-style metal buttons, dating to at least 1876, featuring a variety of architectural motifs. The buttons are crafted from various base metals with finishes including gold-tone, silver-tone, dark oxidized, and some with a reddish metallic sheen. Designs predominantly depict castles, churches, buildings, mills, and houses, often surrounded by ornate borders with foliate, rope-twist, or geometric patterns. Some designs are identified by handwritten blue ink notes on the display page as 'Castle w/Bridge,' 'Mill,' 'Wee House Mary the Heather 1876,' and 'Castles,' with an associated note mentioning 'Castle in the moonlight.' The buttons are neatly arranged and displayed on an aged, off-white cardstock page with hand-drawn blue ink circles indicating their placement.
