The buttons are predominantly crafted from iridescent mother-of-pearl, showcasing a wide array of shapes including round, square, hexagonal, and rhomboid. Designs encompass floral motifs, leaf patterns, geometric forms, and starbursts. Many buttons incorporate secondary materials such as metal trims, appearing in brass or silver tones, and colored plastic or resin components, explicitly categorized on the cards as ”Pearl w/ Plastic” and ”Pearl w/ Metal Trim.” Attachment styles visible include two-hole, four-hole, and central keyhole designs, with some buttons appearing to be shanks.
