A Collection of Vintage Assorted Rhinestone and Paste Jewel Buttons - A group of assorted vintage buttons, presented on a light-colored card with blue-inked circular outlines marking their positions. The buttons display a diverse range of styles and presumed periods, crafted from ornate metalwork in silver-toned, brass-toned, and gold-toned finishes. They are frequently embellished with numerous clear, yellowish, or iridescent paste jewels and rhinestones. Designs include intricate geometric patterns, floral motifs, and figural elements such as cherubs, a classical profile, and a horse head, alongside button shaped like a bunch of grapes. Materials observed include various metals, mother-of-pearl, dark velvet or glass inserts, and painted enamel. The card itself bears handwritten annotations in French, including ”Cents X” at the top right, and various inventory or pricing codes such as ”2 P de P” and ”P. R.”.
