A Collection of Mid-20th Century Fabric-Covered U.S. Presidential and Capitol Buttons - A group of small, circular, fabric-covered buttons or badges, arranged and affixed to a stiff white board. Each button features a screen-printed profile image of a U.S. President or an illustration of ”THE CAPITOL” building, rendered in either red or navy blue ink against a cream-colored textile background, and encircled by a border of small blue stars. Visible text on the buttons identifies presidents by name, such as ”GEORGE WASHINGTON,” ”ULYSSES S. GRANT,” and ”DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER,” often accompanied by their presidential term dates, with the latest noted as ”1953-57.” The reverse of the mounting board reveals numerous small, yarn-like loops, likely for attachment.
