A Collection of Ancient Egyptian Revival and Other Decorative Buttons, May K Clark Collection - A curated group of decorative buttons, presented across group of white cardstock boards. The buttons predominantly feature an Ancient Egyptian Revival style, depicting pharaohs, queens, sphinxes, deities (including Anubis), hieroglyphic patterns, and architectural elements. The collection also includes some buttons displaying classical figures, floral motifs, or abstract designs. Crafted from varied materials, the buttons include brass, bronze, copper, and gilt metals with diverse patinas and finishes, some incorporating enamel-like black details. Individual pieces appear to be made of carved bone or iridescent material.
