Old Master Oil on Board Peasants Dancing - 17th c - Oil on wood panel. Scene depicting Peasants Dancing & Relaxing in Front of a Tavern in the Dutch School. Mid 17th c.Similar to other period works such ”Dancing in Front of the Tavern” by Karel Dujardin (Dutch, 1626-1678), Dance at the Trattoria by Jan Miel (1599-1663) and to works by Isack van Ostade (1621-1649). There is a wax seal stamped with an elaborately decorated ”M” on the back. Oil on Wood Panel.Framed size 18.5” x 22.5” and sight size is 14.25” x 11” In-house shipping available.
