SIZE: SIZE: 55.5" overall NOTES: Crown on lock plate with no VR mark. Breech has faint Birmingham proof marks, along with a pair of 25 gauge marks indicating .577 caliber. Butt with a Birmingham Small Arms Trade mark.Small BSAT mark behind the trigger guard, followed by a weak {CROWN} / SH / C mark, for Sinclair, Hamilton & Company which had just one contract and that was to the Confederate States of America.
