CIVIL WAR OHIO VETERAN'S MEDAL 71ST OHIO VOL. INF - Ohio Tiffany & Co. medal engraved to Daniel A Bright, Co. E, 71st Ohio Volunteer Infantry. The original ribbon is present but unattached as the retaining pin is missing. Bright was a resident of Preble County, Ohio. He enlisted as a Private in Co. E in October, 1861 and mustered out as a Captain at San Antonio, Texas in November, 1865. The 71st OVI was one of the first units to come under attack at the Battle of Shiloh and was engaged at the Battle of Nashville in 1864. In-house shipping is available.
