CIVIL WAR 1ST OHIO VOL. INF..LADDER BADGE - IDED
Civil War ladder badge engraved to Benjamin Rose of Company G, 1st Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Rose was a resident of Logan County, Ohio. He enlisted August 31, 1861.The 1st OVI was engaged in the battles of Shiloh, Corinth, Stone's River, Chickamauga, Chattanooga, and the Atlanta Campaign. He was wounded in the left arm at Pine Knob, Georgia on June 17, 1864 and mustered out August 23, 1864. He is buried at Bellefontaine Cemetery in Logan County. Included with this badge is Rose's service and pension records from the National Archives. Engraved on the drop above Rose's name is a 4th corps badge. This ladder badge measures 2.75" x 1.75". In-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, Oct. 19 and Friday Oct. 20 from 10 am to 1 pm in Carroll, Ohio 43112 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
