CIVIL WAR P.S. JUSTICE MODEL 1840 CAVALRY SABER - Model 1840 P.S. Justice Philadelphia Cavalry saber in untouched condition. Ricasso is stamped ”P. S. Justice Philada”. Justice made and imported Sabers in the early days of the war - The scabbard drag is stamped ”S &_” designating the German manufacturer Schnitzler and Kirschbaum. Beneath that is the inspector's stamping ”J. M.” . P.S. Justice had an 1861 contract with the United States Government to provide 13,685 M1840 Cavalry sabers making this early saber one of the less common of the war. In-house shipping is available.
