CIVIL WAR IDED ALBUMEN PHOTO 15TH ILLINOIS CAV. - Civil War albumen photograph of Captain Franklin A Clark, who had service in ”Kane County” Co. Illinois Independent Cavalry, 15th Illinois Cavalry, and the 51st United States Colored Troops. The photograph is identified in two places. A family identification on the mat reads, ”Frank A. Clark U.S. Vols.”. Written on the photo directly above that is a light, faded brown ink inscription. The discernable part of that inscription reads ”--ank A Clark Capt U.S. Vols.” Written on the back in the same family hand is ”Brother of Theresa M. Starkweather”. The Kane county Independent cavalry served in Missouri and Arkansas in 1861 and 1862 until it was transferred into the 15th illinois Cavalry as Company H. The albumen itself measures 7.25” x 5.25” and is mounted on a 9” x 7” mat. In-house shipping is available.
